IRON MAIDEN
WE ARE ALL Blood Brothers!

kamelot_rnrindustries-1It was a hot day in San Bernardino Saturday but that didn’t stop the crowd from coming out and Moshing! When Exodus hit the stage the pits started and never slowed down tell Iron Maiden was done playing their final encore! When you go to an Iron Maiden show they remind you that age is just a number from the 25,000+ fans that were in attendance that consisted of long time fans in their senior years to young kids, I saw one young man attending the show with his dad who was no more then 5 but had hair down to his waist and his denim vest full of patches eager to watch the show! Not to mention the guys that are in the band who run around like they are still in their 20’s for the entire show!

But what makes an Iron Maiden show so special is the message that they give to their fans, when so many bands are using music to push their political beliefs (where not going to name any names!) Bruce introduced ‘Blood Brothers’ by pointing out all the flags in the audience and how we come from all over the world and all walks of life and that we are there for one thing to Enjoy Music Together! That it doesn’t matter who we love-whether it’s a man or a women, what religion we practice- even if you worship Darth Vader, that we all came there together, alive and that we were going to leave there the same way! To look out for one another (especially in the pit) that we are all there to have a great time, drink some beers and listen to our favorite music! So grab your flag and wave it proudly especially if that flag happens to be an Iron Maiden Flag!

Tickets to the SELF HELP Festival Go on Sale Today- Featuring A Day to Remember

A Day To Remember
Announce Self Help Festival

A Day To Remember (ADTR) are pleased to announce the brand new SELF HELP Festival this morning.  The show will be held on March 22nd at the NOS Event Center in San Bernardino, CA.  Tickets go on sale on this Friday December 20th and can be purchased here: www.ticketfly.com.  A VIP pre-sale will begin today and details for that can be found here: www.showstubs.com/selfhelpfest
The SELF HELP Festival will be an all day event featuring A Day To Remember, Bring Me The Horizon, Of Mice & Men, The Story So Far, Memphis May Fire, Attila, The Word Alive, Stick To Your Guns, Issues, letlive, Terror, A Skylit Drive, Hands Like Houses, Hundredth, Beartooth & Rotting Out.  Many of the performers were hand picked by ADTR.
ADTR Lead singer Jeremy McKinnon commented on why the band chose to launch a festival now: “It actually came from a conversation I was having with my girlfriend and Josh’s about what it’s like to be in the crowd at one of our shows. She told me that most people who come respond like its more than just a concert to them. It’s like the music is genuinely helping them.
We were all throwing around ideas for a name that would mean something for not only our fans but for this genre of music as a whole, and I told the guys this story. It made us actually stop and think about what we really do see from the fans, and that’s 90% of the time that this music from most of the bands involved in this style of music makes them feel better about being alive. Thus we titled our festival Self Help, because at the end of the day, that’s what music’s all about.”
A Day to Remember’s latest album Common Courtesy has already sold over 116,249 copies to date and is the fastest selling album of their career so far.
Since their formation in 2003, Ocala, Florida’s A Day To Remember have grown from a small band with a dedicated local fan-base into a worldwide phenomenon, gaining the respect and adoration from their peers as much as their fans. This hasn’t been an overnight success story – A Day To Remember have worked hard to win over every fan they’ve made. Over the course of the bands career, the band has sold out entire continental tours, landed two Top 25 Billboard debuts and topped the Billboard Indie Albums Chart.

MOLTEN METAL: Mayhem in San Bernardino, CA

My favorite time of the year, the annual MayhemFest, kicked off its 6th tour in San Bernardino on June 29th, 2013. What better way to spend a scorching hot summer day than with thousands of sweaty metalheads in the dirt and completely unleash the beast within!  This year’s lineup was extra HEAVY! I caught full sets of BattleCross, Son of Osirus, Machine Head, and Children of Bodom on both the Jagermeister stage and the Musician Institute stage. I also caught a few songs from Job For a Cowboy‘s set, which I enjoyed tremendously. My green VIP wrist band gave me access backstage, where I ran into a few of my favorite metal dudes. Right before Machine Head was to hit the stage, I saw Phil Demmel and we started talking.  All of a sudden, Jason Hook of Five Finger Death Punch rides up on a green dirt bike. I stopped him and asked him to join us in a photo-op and he was down!  Totally surreal and way cool of him! Everyone was in a good mood despite the heat!  Machine Head really killed it with a powerful performance and killer stage set up. I was rocking out on stage with them, looking out at the sea of metalheads crowd surfing to the almighty Rob Flynn.  The crowd surfing was out of control!  I have never seen so many girls crowd surf at a metal show.  Everyone was going nuts, but at the same time making sure no one was getting hurt.  Backstage, I ran into Mike Faley of Metal Blade Records. He was keeping cool in a seat in the shade.  I told him how sick BatterCross’s performance was and he agreed!  In a previous interview I had with Brian Slagel of Metal Blade Records, he mentioned how much he liked BattleCross and to keep a look out for them this summer. He was right, I was blown away. I bought a CD and a T-shirt form the lead singer, Kyle “Gumby” Gunther and had the band sign it! I am digging the new BattleCross album “War of Will.”   It’s intense!  Another band I’ve never seen live that I am now totally into is Born of Osiris! Pretty powerful how they mix in beats and keyboard! Children of Bodom played last on the Music Institute Stage. Alexi Laiho can do no wrong. He is the ultimate shredder! Continue reading
