The City of Yucaipa will host the 6th Annual Yucaipa Music and Arts Festival, May 5-7, 2017, in the Historic Uptown District. Thousands will gather to enjoy a musical explosion that promises to leave all in anticipation for next year.

With this Festival, the City brings together various styles of music for three fun-filled days of lyrical pleasure. The Festival is sure to draw thousands of people for a full weekend of fun and relaxation.

The Yucaipa Music and Arts Festival’s appeal as an affordable family event is one of many reasons it is quickly becoming a premier event in the Inland Empire and in Southern California.

This year’s festivities will offer a lineup of classic rock and country themed musical entertainment with a feature performance by rock artists Marcy Playground, Dishwalla, Fuel, and Candlebox. Friday night entertainment will feature performances by Yachty by Nature and country music sensation James Wesley. The Festival will close Sunday evening with the San Bernardino Teen Music Workshop and Rod Piazza & The Mighty Flyers.

Come immerse yourself in the full experience of the Historic Uptown by visiting local vendors and farmers’ market booths, participating in the “Taste of Our Town,” and cheer on your favorite performer in the Yucaipa’s Got Talent competition. Watch adult tricycle racing, sponsored by the local Kiwanis and Rotary Clubs or be mesmerized by the roaming entertainment. If precious stones and art is your interest, then the Gem and Mineral Show and Artists’ Row is a must see! Once again, the City is partnering with the Woman’s Club, located on Adams and Ave A, to offer a nice cool place to hold the Flower Show.

British-born, Nashville-based musician Danny Worsnop (Asking Alexandria/We Are Harlot, now supporting his new Earache Records outlaw country solo album) has been added to the music lineup for the first annual KFRG presents Driftwood at Doheny State Beach. This afternoon of country music, craft beer, artisan wine and top notch BBQ will be held at the scenic Doheny State Beach in Dana Point, CA on Saturday, November 12.

Driftwood at Doheny State Beach will feature over 100 craft beers and artisan wines, some of the best BBQ in the region, as well as a full day of eclectic music ranging from country to Americana and mariachi rock, with performances from Nashville hitmaker Jerrod Niemann, along with Rodney Atkins, Thompson Square, Parmalee, The White Buffalo, Mariachi El Bronx, and Danny Worsnop. Festival attendees will roam throughout the lush grass areas of Doheny State Beach, right off the shore of the Pacific Ocean, touching the sand.

Driftwood at Doheny State Beach kicks off at 1:00 PM on Saturday, November 12 (with Early Entry guests arriving at 11:00 AM and Early Entry craft beer and wine tastings beginning at Noon). Craft beer and wine tastings are included with admission, with music from 1:00 PM until 9:00 PM. Festival attendees will choose from over 100 craft beers and wines to taste until 4:00 PM (for those 21 and up), and will have the chance to enjoy the best of California’s BBQ. In addition, beer, wine and cocktails will be available for sale from Noon until 9:00 PM.

Some of the craft beer and wine highlights at Driftwood at Doheny State Beach include: Artifex Brewing (Unicorn Juice, American Wheat Ale with Passion Fruit), Bottle Logic Brewing (American Dark Lager, 2X GOLD MEDAL winner at GABF), Chapman Crafted (Slow Riser 2.0, Red Ale with Coffee on Nitro), Mother Earth Brewing Co. (Cali Creamin’, Vanilla Cream Ale), and Ska Brewing: Modus Hoperani (IPA).

Legendary, multi-Platinum selling rockers Twisted Sister performed an explosive 90-minute concert of their biggest hits spanning their 40-year career. The show was dedicated to the honor of Twisted Sister’s iconic drummer, A.J. Pero, whose tragic, sudden death just two months prior to the filming of this event shocked the music world. The band announced that not only were all the remaining concerts being performed in 2015 dedicated to the memory of A.J. Pero, but that 2016 would mark the 40th and final year of the band’s legendary live performances. They recruited renowned drummer and friend of A.J. Pero, Mike Portnoy (The Winery Dogs, Dream Theater, Avenged Sevenfold) to take the reins, and his very first Twisted Sister appearance was captured by the “Metal Meltdown” camera crew.
“This concert was performed in memory of our late drummer A.J. Pero,” says frontman Dee Snider. “To have it enter the Billboard charts at number one is further tribute to him. RIP A.J. Pero.”

San Francisco Bay Area thrash legends, DEATH ANGEL, will release their eighth studio album, The Evil Divide, worldwide on May 27, 2016 via Nuclear Blast Records.Today, the band has released a music video for the track “Lost”, here. The clip was directed and edited by Tommy Jones for Videohammer Studios.
Comments vocalist Mark Osegueda:
“The song ‘Lost’ is very personal to me and I believe it will resonate with many. As one who has been fortunate enough to be raised In the San Francisco Bay Area (an extremely diverse region), I have made friends with people from every religion, race, sexual orientation, and genre of music fan! One thing that no one can escape, no matter what one’s beliefs are, or how well you were raised, or educated, is that one point in your life that you felt apart, or alone.
“It is an awful and disparaging feeling. Some are fortunate enough to have only experienced a fleeting moment of that empty feeling. More often than not though, it’s much longer than a fleeting moment, and time moves no slower than when stuck in that feeling. I myself am not immune to that human experience.
“I find the best release for me, and what makes me feel as though I belong / am doing something right / have a quality of life that is not measured by a monetary system, is creating music!
“This song is for and about all who have ever been trapped in that dark hole of your own mind. This is ‘Lost’! You are not alone!”
Adds Jones:
“When i first spoke to Mark about the lyrical context of the song, I realized that he was coming from 3 different mindsets, or 3 different narratives that would lead someone to feeling ‘Lost’. So there was a challenge to represent these 3 scenarios into the video for the song. They were pretty heavy, current social topics in the form of religious extremism, a bad relationship riddled with drug and physical abuse, and cyber and school bullying. Each of these situations, could make a person feel ‘Lost’ as to what’s right or what’s wrong, or a sense of being trapped in a situation that in your mind you know is wrong, but being stuck in it, makes you feel ‘Lost’. I also wanted the band to seem ‘Lost’ as if they were nowhere. So the setting of the video is that they are in complete never ending blackness.

“The rain was a necessity. With the power that Mark is belting out the lyrics ‘rain down on me’, it was a no brainier, I saw it in my head and needed to have him singing that last chorus in the rain. So we made it rain, yo!”

The Evil Divide was once again recorded at AudioHammer studios in Sanford, Florida with producer Jason Suecof (TRIVIUM, DEICIDE), who previously worked on 2010’s Relentless Retribution and 2013’s The Dream Calls For Blood. Mastering duties were handled by Ted Jensen at Sterling Sound in New York City. Artwork was created by Bob Tyrrell.

The Evil Divide stands out as the culmination of thirty-plus years of music for DEATH ANGEL. It kicked off with legendary debut, The Ultra-Violence, in 1987. The classic Frolic Through The Park began to cement their legacy and even earned the distinction of landing on Loudwire’s list of the “Top Ten Thrash Albums NOT Released by The Big 4.” The group broke up following 1990’s Act III only to reunite in 2004 on Art of Dying for the next generation.

In 2008, DEATH ANGEL teamed with producer Nick Raskulinecz [Foo Fighters, Alice In Chains, Rush, Mastodon] for Killing Season recorded at Dave Grohl’s Studio 606. In 2010, Relentless Retribution boasted a cameo from virtuosos Rodrigo y Gabriela, while 2013’s The Dream Calls For Blood bowed at #72 on the Billboard Top 200, selling 5,400 copies first-week and earning the group’s first-ever entry onto that respective chart.

Beyond continued public praise from the likes of James Hetfield of Metallica and Robb Flynn of Machine Head, the band’s music has popped up everywhere from Carl’s Jr. commercials to Leatherface: The Texas Chainsaw Massacre III. Their fire burns brighter than ever in 2016.

Cain states, White Noise was a fun challenge for me because for the first time, we were writing songs together as a band and we only had two weeks to complete the writing process. I’ve never been put under the gun that hard and it forced me to get really focused and stay that way.  My entire life had to be shut off. With that being said, I was very skeptical of the lyrics sound contrived and forced, but much to my surprise, and the surprise of everyone else, the songs happened effortlessly. Only a few times can I remember getting tripped up on a part or lyric and hitting a wall. But I just didn’t force it. I started a new chapter and just wrote something else until that came to me. Most days I was just shooting ideas at the wall, but occasionally we would hit a vein and write two or three songs that day. It was really amazing to be able to do that. You don’t really know if you can until you have no other choice.” 
 
With four previously self-released albums The Inside (2004), Locks & Keys (2008), Highway Prophet (2011), Modern Day Gypsy (2012)and now White Noise, JASMINE CAIN has sold over 30,000 albums, and gained 5,000 views in the first week of her music video alone. She holds eight JPF awards–the most awards ever to be awarded to any one artist from the JPF Association. Her performances are stadium-quality rock shows to audiences of 1,000-5,000 on average.

Showcased in a solo performance, the video features 3 minutes and 33 seconds of John 5’s mad skills as he riffs away on his Fender Telecasters. The video single is the fourth in a yearlong series in which he’ll debut a new video on the first day of each month in 2016.

John 5 has had an illustrious career collaborating with chart-topping artists such as k.d. lang, David Lee Roth, and Rod Stewart. He has performed on critically acclaimed world tours with Marilyn Manson, and is currently the guitarist and a co-songwriter for Rob Zombie. John 5 ventured into the world of film scores when he composed for Rob Zombie’s The Lords of Salem. Since 2004, he has enjoyed a successful solo career, with eight studio albums to date. He recently released his Greatest Hits Vol. 1.

BABYMETAL–2015’s breakout all-girl-fronted Japanese heavy metal/teen-pop hybrid group–partnered exclusively with Music Choice (3/18) for the world premiere of the official music video for their lead single “KARATE,” from the group’s forthcoming sophomore album METAL RESISTANCE, out April 1 (also known as the “FOX DAY”) on RAL/Sony Music Entertainment (in the U.S.).

“KARATE” was performed for the first time last year at Yokohama Arena in Japan and features the call out phrase “Seiya, soiya,” with a stirring chorus and melody sure to resonate with fans. Currently at Active Rock Radio, the single is available now as an instant grat track when METAL RESISTANCE is pre-ordered on iTunes. It is also streaming now on Spotify. BABYMETAL–the young trio of 17-year-old SU-METAL (Vocal, Dance) and 16-year-olds YUIMETAL (Scream, Dance) and MOAMETAL (Scream, Dance), backed by a four-piece band packing a heavy metal arsenal–have been nominated in the “Best International Band” category at the 2016 Alternative Press Music Awards, being held in Columbus, OH on July 18. BABYMETAL will support the new album on their “Babymetal World Tour 2016” with a U.S. run of dates kicking off May 4 at Playstation Theater in New York and making stops in Detroit (5/11), Chicago (5/13), San Francisco (7/14) and Los Angeles (7/15), among other cities.
