Whitechapel announces co-headlining USA tour with Suicide Silence this fall; Carnifex and Oceano to join as support, with Despised Icon on select dates

white flyer

Currently on the road as part of the annual Warped Tour, Whitechapel has announced another USA trek – this time, co-headlining with Suicide Silence! Sponsored by BlackCraft Cult Clothing (www.blackcraftcult.com), the “Straight Outta Hell” tour also features Carnifex and Oceano as support, with Despised Icon appearing at select shows. This must-see fall run kicks off in late September and ends in late October – stay tuned for complete dates coming soon!

Whitechapel recently released their sixth full-length, Mark of the Blade, worldwide via Metal Blade Records. Hailed as “an exciting milestone” (Alt Press), Mark of the Blade was produced by Mark Lewis (The Black Dahlia Murder, Cannibal Corpse) and sees Whitechapel redefine who they are and what they are capable of with the resulting 11 tracks. Kicking off with “The Void” – which has a Slayer-esque ferocity that is perfectly suited to the band’s three-guitar attack – the songs that follow all leave a distinct impression, and by the time the rich, dark melodies on “Decennium” bring the record to a close, it’s impossible to deny the emotional weight brought to bear. Alex Wade explains, “At this point in our career and as we grow older, we are taking a more open-minded approach to creating our music, allowing what we think sounds good to evolve naturally, rather than to just write what is expected of us.”

To purchase Mark of the Blade in various formats, please visit: metalblade.com/whitechapel – where the video for the latest single, “Elitist Ones”, can also be viewed.

Thimble Slide Announces A Kickstarter Campaign During August

thimble slide
Thimble Slide – the makers of a patented size-adjustable mini guitar slide that allows the wearer to slide when they want yet still be able to fret the strings when needed without removing the slide – announce that they are launching a Kickstarter funding campaign that will span the month of August ending Sep 25th. The funding is needed to assist the company in having tooling made that will allow mass production of their Maxim model slide by machines. Says Thimble Slide inventor Cole Coleman, “We’ve been handcrafting and selling our slides for three years and sales have been increasing steadily; yet, we can only make a small quantity per day by hand. Bringing machines online to manufacture the slide will allow for mass production. It will allow us to seek distribution, and bring the slide to the world-market giving guitar players a new option over traditional slides.” Why seek crowd funding? “It was clear that a bank loan was not going to happen as we’re still a young company with earnings lower than their minimum. Crowd funding is more inline with the mindset of today’s entrepreneurs. We’re a young company with a revolutionary product trying to break through the walls of establishment. With crowd funding, we’re inviting all who take part to share in that adventurous spirit; to help bring the Thimble Slide to the world market where it can be a helpful tool to guitarists worldwide.” Rewards for pledges include receiving one or two Thimble Slides and for those who pledge large amounts, permanent listing on the Thimble Slide website as a contributor. The Thimble Slide is a made in U.S.A. product and says owner/founder Cole Coleman, “I am very pleased and proud to assure everyone involved that the mass production of the slide will remain in the U.S.A. providing a handful of jobs from running the machines to packaging.” Visit ThimbleSlide.com for more information, photos, videos, and the link to their Kickstarter campaign.

September Mourning Releases “Children Of Fate” Lyric Video & Announces Kickstarter Campaign Alongside Top Cow Productions

September Mourning Releases “Children Of Fate” Lyric Video & Announces Kickstarter Campaign Alongside Top Cow Productions

image
July 11, 2015 – Dark Alternative, Hard Rock Transmedia Project September Mourning have released their “Children Of Fate” lyric video from their upcoming EP due out this fall.

Watch September Mourning’s “Children Of Fate” lyric video below:
http://youtu.be/1__-ByvvbbI

September Mourning is a character that was created by Emily Lazar (aka September) with Mark Silvestri, founder & CEO of Top Cow Productions, Inc. The band alongside Top Cow have announced a Kickstarter campaign to help bring September Mourning’s story from the stage to the pages of a comic book. An amazing all female team has been assembled to bring the story to life. The first issue has already been written by Mariah McCourt, illustrated by Summeye Kesgin, and conceptualized by Emily Lazar (September Mourning) & Marc Silvestri. There will be many reward tiers for donations with comic and music gifts to be had, and if the Kickstarter goal is reached, the first issue will be given away digitally for free. Click HERE to go to September Mourning’s Kickstarter page.

About September Mourning:

September Mourning revives the concept of rock star meets superhero. If Marilyn Manson and Lady Gaga had a kid, it would be September Mourning, who also cites influences as varied as David Bowie, Motionless in White, KISS, Paramore and My Chemical Romance.

“For me, the project is a story, a theatrical art piece,” September explains. “Music is a piece of the backbone, but for this to work, it has to include the imagery and the narrative all symbiotically linked into the whole. Music taps into your innermost being. There’s something very intimate and personal about it.”

The character of September Mourning is a human-reaper hybrid, who feels the need to give some human souls a second chance, and thus toys with Fate. To expound on this narrative, September is working with iconic comic book artist Marc Silvestri, who started out on the original X-Mencomics and went on to form both Image and Top Cow Productions (Witchblade, The Darkness). Together, they are putting together the story of September Mourning in graphic novel form, to accompany, and enhance the storyline and musical message.

September Mourning carries positive passions into its music, which is often operatic, but also completely rock ‘n’ roll in all its majestic glory.

Having toured with Marilyn Manson, September Mourning has already built up an impressive fan base, which she calls her “Children of Fate,” constantly encouraging them to have “the courage to embrace their passion… to allow yourself to follow your heart and not be a slave to your fears. To know that the only boundaries that exist in our lives are the ones we allow.”
